Reading Assignments

Session A: 

  • Read Chapters 1, 2, & 5 of EORM (The Essentials of Risk Management).

Session B:

  • Read Chapter 4 of EORM

Session C:

Session D:

Interest Rate Hedging. Read Chapter 6 of the EORM, excluding boxes 6-1 (Valuation of a bond and yield to maturity) and 6-2 (Duration of a bond).

Session E:

Read Chapters 7 & 8 of the EORM - no exclusions.

Session F:

Read Chapters 9, 10 & 11 of the EORM.  Also read Risk Management Practices found on the PRMIA website at http://prmia.org/index.php?page=exam&option=trainingWebResource.

Sesssion G:

Read chapter 13 (excluding box 13-2) and chapter 15 (excluding boxes 15-4 and 15-5) in the EORM. 

Session H: 

Read Case Studies and the Group of 30 Report-Derivatives Recommendations found on the PRMIA website at http://prmia.org/index.php?page=exam&option=trainingWebResource.

RECORDING:

The webinar series will be recorded and available for review to all participants within one hour of each session.  The recordings will be available until October, 2010.
