The PRMIA Boston chapter presents RegTech 2017! The technological advances in the last decade have been remarkable.  The cloud is maturing, big data is no longer a buzz word, open source has caused tectonic shifts in the software landscape; Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are finally seeing the light of day and FinTech is changing the decades old status quo in the banking sector.  There have been many new players and products in these spaces and financial industry has shown eagerness to learn and adopt many of the technology innovations in the quest of opportunities.

At this event, we will discuss the key innovations and the landscape of FinTech with a focus on RegTech or Regulatory technology.  RegTech deals with addressing regulatory challenges in the financial services sector through innovative technology and cost effective ways.  In this context we will discuss:

  • Regulatory sandboxes, open source and compliance challenges
  • Obstacles, benefits and risks to Industry-wide RegTech success
  • Where, what and how to orchestrate the right information for financial regulations
  • Regulations and the future of digital tokens for cryptocurrency vendors
