The Latest Trends & Next Steps for Model Risk Management
We will discuss recent Model Risk Management challenges and provide concrete examples of how they can be dealt with in an efficient way with the support of the latest technology. Member Webinar 10:00 - 11:00 AM EDT.

Financial institutions have been relying on models to support decision making for decades, and managing the life cycle of models and model risk management are not new topics. However...

In recent times the discipline of model risk management has become more formalized and rigorous, partly as response to the increasing recent regulatory scrutiny being applied to their models, with US and European banking regulators leading the charge. This requires banks to put an extra compliance effort into management of their models and of the model risk embedded there. In parallel, on the other front, trends such as Big Data, Internet of Things but also new regulations such as IFRS 9, FRTB are even pushing banks to develop additional models which will have to be properly managed as well.

Therefore, many banks are at moment struggling with how to best deal with the above trends, with the increasing model risk exposure and increasing workload to manage the model risk.  Many banks came to realize that just throwing more people at the task is not the best way to go.

Good news is that now, the latest technology capabilities can offer banks new and more efficient ways how to get the increasing model risk and model management / regulatory efforts under control. And in the process of doing so, banks can also become more flexible and agile.

In this webinar, we will discuss the challenges above and provide concrete examples how these can be dealt in efficient way with the support of the latest technology.
