Nick Wadge – Nomura
Nick was appointed Chief Technology Officer, EMEA at Nomura in June 2016 and is responsible for many aspects of Nomura’s technology strategy. Nick is a member of Nomura’s European IT Executive and chairs the EMEA IT Graduate and IP Welfare committee and heads the EMEA IT Innovation initiative.
Prior to this role, Nick was Enterprise Infrastructure Services Global Head of Web & Software Engineering for a number of years in a career in technology spanning more than 25 years, having started as a junior COBOL programmer. He has diverse sector experience in central and local government, consulting, retail banking and capital markets
Shane Lamont - HSBC
Shane Lamont has worked in business-facing technology roles in the Financial Services industry for almost 25 years.
He is passionate about technology and how it can help transform organisations, processes and people for the better. Always looking for a challenge, he has spent the past decade (+) at HSBC, first as the Head of Market Risk IT, then Head of Credit Risk IT and then the Head of Anti Money Laundering IT. Always up for a challenge, he was asked a year ago to take on the role of Programme Director for Google Cloud Adoption.
A BSC in Computer Science from Queens University Belfast, coupled with an insatiable curiosity and a sprinkling of common sense, keep him at the sharp end of the Financial Services technology industry. Being married with twin daughters, keeps him grounded.
Jonathan Lloyd White - SMBCE
Jonathan is the Chief Information Security Officer for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. Europe Ltd (SMBCE) and EMEA. He has been CISO there for two years during which time he has established security governance up to Board level, put in place a risk management and metrics framework, and is working with colleagues in North America and Japan on the creation of a Security Operations Centre.
Prior to taking this role he was Security Director for HM Revenue and Customs for four years and was Head of the UK Government Security Profession. His background is in Customs, intelligence analysis and tax compliance using data analytics.
Vasu Gupta
Vasu leads Google Cloud's Financial Services consulting in UK, helping FSI clients adopt and migrate to Google Cloud. In the past, he was a management consultant and built risk data propositions helping clients comply with BCBS239, adopt new regulations and architect data landscapes to support risk models. He is deeply passionate about cloud and its ability to transform the industry
