Barbara Teixeira Araujo, Assistant Director, Moody’s Analytics
Barbara Teixeira Araujo is an economist at the Moody’s Analytics Prague office. She manages the European version of economy.com, to which she contributes regularly with timely analysis on the key national and metropolitan economic developments across the EMEA region. She is the key analyst for the U.K. and the euro zone, and she is responsible for macroeconomic national and regional forecasting, as well as narrative developments. She also writes and edits the European macro and metro publications for the Regional Financial Review. Her areas of specialization include monetary policy and the labour market, and recently she has focused her research on the different impacts of Brexit on the U.K. economy. Elsewhere, she leads and contributes to different consulting projects with major banks and other financial institutions worldwide, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Before joining Moody’s Analytics, she worked as an economist at Natixis investment bank, in Paris. She holds a master’s degree in International Economics and a BSc in Financial Engineering, both from Paris-Dauphine University.
Rouzbeh Badi Arez, Independent, Former Head of Investment, FREO Group
Rouzbeh Badi-Arez joined FREO Group in 2015 and was responsible for FREO’s investment sourcing and execution in France. He has more than 10 years of experience in real estate investment, asset management and business development. Prior to joining FREO, Rouzbeh was head of business development at Paref, a French listed REIT, and was responsible for international funds. He also gained experience of equity and debt structuring, investment and asset management at Atemi (French Lehman Brothers asset management company) and started his career in London at a real estate private equity firm. Rouzbeh graduated from Bordeaux Business School, France.
Philippe Deloffre, Head of Real Estate Debt - Private Debt and Real Assets, BNP Paribas Asset Management
Philippe Deloffre serves as Head of Real Estate Debt in the Alternative Debt Management team at BNP Paribas Asset Management since March 2017. He joined from Acofi where he was head of CRE debt funds and was responsible for managing investments in commercial real estate loans in Europe from 2013.
In 2008 he joined CBRE, the property consultancy firm, to set up the Debt Advisory business for France. He advised property investors on their loan issuances and loan restructurings, as well as financial institutions on their CRE loan sales in Europe. He began his banking career as a structured finance banker for Commerzbank in Paris and then for ABN Amro in London. He gained experience in arranging non-recourse loans on various asset classes including property and NPLs, structuring CMBS and CLOs and then originating real estate loans in Europe. Philippe holds a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from EM Lyon business school (2001) and a Master's degree in Business Law from Jean Moulin University (2000).
Arnaud Heck, Head of Real Estate Finance - Private Debt and Real Assets, Ostrum Asset Management
Arnaud joined Ostrum AM (formerly Natixis AM) in November 2015 as head of real estate debt activities. He has 19 years’ experience in structured financing with leading international investment banks.
Arnaud started his career with the RBS group in London, working on European mid cap deals. He then moved to Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, also based in London, to create the European leveraged finance business. In 2005, he joined Allied Irish Banks (AIB) in London and subsequently moved to their Paris branch. He ran AIB's French branch from 2011 and also sat on AIB’s international credit committee in London and Dublin. In 2013, he joined PwC in Paris to head the debt advisory practice, working on pan-European and international assignments in corporate, real estate and infrastructure transactions. Arnaud holds a M.Sc. in management from the Oxford Business School and a degree in finance and accounting.
