The Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute is hosting an event about effective risk management , whereby, volunteers from PRMIA will increase risk management awareness for the institute staff and researchers
The workshop will enhance social awareness on the nature of the risk operational environment in Egypt for all business endeavors. PRMIA will ensure the development and promotion of the risk profession. Specifically, the launch aims to develop the Petroleum sector in Egypt, while strengthening risk management knowledge and skills, that would inevitably reflect on Egypt's economy.
EPRI has been established by the Presidential Decree no.541 for the year 1974, as one of the research institutes following the Ministry of Scientific Research, headed by his Excellency Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the aim of supplying the national petroleum industry with studies, scientific research work, consultations, analytical and technical services individually or together with other parties.
PRMIA was established in 2002 by a volunteer group of thirty risk industry professionals with the vision of building an independent global association to serve the international financial risk community. Their mission was to create an association that would be solidly anchored in ethical guidelines, transparency, testing standards, courses and publications that would be better than anything offered by others in the risk profession and always committed to non-profit ideals of service. This remains the PRMIA mission today.
PRMIA will be always:
- A leader of industry opinion and a proponent for the risk management profession
- Driving the integration of practice and theory and certifying the credentials of those in our profession
- Connecting practitioners, researchers, students and others interested in the field of risk management
- Global in our focus, promoting cross-cultural ethical standards, serving emerging as well as more developed markets
- Transparent, nonprofit, independent, member-focused and member-driven
- Working with other professional associations in furtherance of the PRMIA mission
