In our “Information Age”, data has grown to be one of the most valuable enterprise resources. This change has substantially impacted large enterprises across verticals, which now face new challenges and risks.
PRMIA Boston has invited seasoned experts to share insights on how data has transformed their business model and risk management strategy. The following topics will be discussed:
- Data Governance and Security: How is data kept safe to the extent it is maintained in electronic form within systems potentially vulnerable to cyber-attacks?

Welcome Remarks: Tom Curry
Mr. Curry is the former Comptroller of the Currency. Currently, Mr. Curry is a partner and a co-head of Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP's Banking and Financial Services Group. Mr. Curry previously held positions with the IMF and the FDIC, and has served five Massachusetts Governors as Commissioner of Banks. Mr. Curry received his B.A. from Manhattan College and his J.D. from the New England School of Law. |

Regulation of Data Privacy and Cyber Risks: Seth Berman and David Blaszkowsky
Seth P. Berman leads the Privacy and Data Security practice group of Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP, Boston. Prior to joining Nutter, Mr. Berman led the Boston, New York, and Washington offices of Stroz Friedberg, a leading cybersecurity consulting firm and served as the Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Massachusetts and Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Berman earned his A.B. from Princeton University and his J.D. from Cornell School of Law.
Mr. Blaszkowsky most recently served as Head of Enterprise Data Governance at State Street Corporation. Previously, he held senior positions at the US Department of the Treasury, the SEC, Standard & Poor’s, Fidelity, McKinsey & Company, PwC, and Gemini. Mr. Blaszkowsky received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago, and his MBA in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

The Evolution of Fintech and its effects on Privacy: Roger Stein
Dr. Stein is a Research Affiliate at the MIT Laboratory for Financial Engineering. Dr. Stein is also the founder and president of the Consortium for Systemic Risk Analytics and previously held the position of Chief Analytics Officer at State Street GX. Dr. Stein received his B.Sc. in Mathematics and Japanese Studies from the State University of New York and a Ph.D. and M.Sc. from the New York University’s Stern School of Business. |

Ubiquitous Data Collection and Effectiveness of Privacy Policies: Monica Holboke and Wilson D’Souza
Dr. Holboke is the CEO of CryptoNumerics, a Toronto based enterprise software company that focuses on enabling organizations to gain insights while protecting privacy and IP. Dr. Hoboke is an accomplished civil engineer with an experience in fields including privacy-preserving machine learning and differential privacy. Dr. Holboke earned a B.S. and M.S. from the California Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in engineering from Darmouth College.
Mr. D’Souza is currently the Chief Technology Office (CTO) for Fidelity Wealth Technologies. Mr. D’Souza previously worked at MIT, where he founded MIT's Kerberos Consortium, as well as in senior positions at Merrill Lynch, Pepsi, and Emirates Airlines. Mr. D’Souza holds a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications from Karnataka University, India. |

Mr. Joldzic, CFA, FRM serves as the President at Alexandria Investment Research and Technology, Inc. Prior to joining Alexandria, Mr. Joldzic served dual roles as an equity portfolio manager and quantitative research analyst at AllianceBernstein. Mr. Joldzic received his B.Sc. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and is a CFA and FRM Charterholder.
Mr. Krishnamurthy,CFA is the founder of QuantUniversity, a Data Science and Quantitative Analysis Advisory and is the creator of the Analytics Certificate program and the Fintech Certificate program. He has more than 15 years of experience in analytics, working with firms such as Citigroup, Endeca, and MathWorks and teaches Machine Learning & AI at Northeastern University.
Bob Levy is Founder/CEO of Immersion Analytics, where his team leverages VR, AR, and Interactive 2D capabilities to gain new insight from data. A proven tech executive, Bob brings over two decades' product leadership and innovation experience including Rational Software, IBM & MathWorks. He was also founding president of the Boston Product Management Association in 2001, a 6,000+ person industry group.
