Zeynep’s career in risk management and compliance started in 2006 while working for the Risk & Assurance Team of PricewaterhouseCoopers Istanbul, Turkey. Later, in 2009, she joined Generali Turkey to build up the Internal Control, Risk Management, and Compliance functions of the Company. Between 2012-2014, she undertook a similar position in Assicurazioni Generali’s Head Office in Italy, working as a Senior Risk Analyst, with a focus on risk analysis and Solvency II implementation process of Generali Group. The end of 2014 she took up a new challenge as Head of Risk Management and Internal Control in ERGO Turkey.

Zeynep is certified by CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) and gave lectures at the Insurance Academy of Istanbul University. Between 2016 - 2020 she completed her Ph.D. studies with her thesis on financial deepening.

As the owner of Aiza Consulting in Germany, Zeynep has managed many projects on risk management, protection gap, financial deepening, climate change, E.S.G., DeFi, DLT, and effects of disruptive technologies on financial institutions' value chains. Now, she is the director of risk management, compliance and sustainability functions in Insha Ventures and mentoring start-up companies in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Turkey.

Zeynep writes monthly articles for popular financial portals and monthly sector inserts. In her free time, she is a passionate charity runner and enjoys skiing as a qualified skier.
