Financial Statement Fraud: Detection & Investigation
In this in-person session, PRMIA's London Chapter brings together a deeply experienced and diverse panel to discuss the prevalence of fraud in credit risk, reliance on audited financial statements and look at some recent case studies to spot indicators of financial statement fraud, and how to respond to incidences of fraud. This is the first of a 2-part series, with the second one focusing on operational/ digital risks.

Andrew is Global Head of Fraud Risk, Wholesale Banking at HSBC and has worked in Fraud Risk for the past 16 years across HSBC, Standard Chartered and Barclays. Prior to working in Fraud Risk, Andrew worked across Debt Restructuring, Credit and Front Office roles. The management of financial statement fraud within the corporate lending processes is a key focus for Andrew’s team who has developed innovative detective capabilities to reduce risk exposure. |

Brendan is part of the specialist forensics team at Evelyn Partners, which comprises accountants, investigators and computer forensics professionals. A specialist in forensic accounting, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009 and also has experience in dispute resolution services, asset tracing and criminal defence. Brendan is also a trustee director of the Fraud Advisory Panel, a committee member of the Private Prosecutors Association and a member of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Business Crime Committee.
