Faster. Better. Cheaper. These words describe a key mandate placed on the Global Financial Services Industry by our customers, shareholders, regulators and society at large.  It has been a strategic imperative for our Industry to constantly evolve and innovate in order to deliver these outcomes, in all of our processes, services and services, by leveraging a wide range of emerging technologies.  One such technology trend, that has caught the imagination of both our internal as well as external stakeholders in recent years, is the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Technology.   These technologies have been rapidly adopted by a wide range of Industries and Sectors and these are becoming fairy ubiquitous- as members of the public have started experiencing them first hand , through a wide array of consumer offerings in sectors as diverse as transportation, e- commerce and entertainment.

The Financial Services industry is no exception, and a large number of firms have started offering hi- tech digital solutions leveraging such technologies – for example through real time underwriting and approvals for loans and cards, digital account opening , online purchase of insurance, online wealth management advice and execution of mutual funds transactions  . Hence , these technologies are no longer seen as mythical , as they no longer conjure up images of humanoid robots, for most of us . However, there is a still a level of mystique surrounding them , since many of us don’t quite know exactly what these technologies are or how best they may be leveraged. This is equally true for those of us who are engaged in the field of Risk Management.

In order to address this gap – i.e to understand what these technologies are and how these may be used to improve the quality of risk management in the Financial Services Industry and how we may deliver on “ Faster. Better. Cheaper”, PRMIA Mumbai is organizing a Webinar on “ Use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Risk Management” .  The seminar brings together a wide range of Domain Experts, Thought Leaders and Industry  Experts , representing the creators of these solutions,  their users and adopters and those who advise and connect the two . They will help shed light on the typical use cases, challenges, benefits , best practices and opportunities, relating to the adoption of these technologies and the solutions in which they are embedded. They will present these in insights through a series of case studies and their individual experiences and perspectives. These will cover global best practices as well as local nuances and flavours.  In attendance will be Senior Executives and Industry Leaders from Regulatory Bodies, Leading Banks, Insurance Companies, Asset Management Companies , NBFCs, Risk Professionals, Academics and Students.
