  Moderator: Navin Rauniar is a senior leader and practitioner with circa 20 years front office, risk management, and Big 4 consulting experience across financial services. Nav typically connects C-suite stakeholders across business and technology, using domain expertise that focuses on risk management and capital markets, especially in response to prudential markets regulation such as ESG, Climate Risk, Carbon Markets, Sustainable Financing, LIBOR, and Basel Frameworks.

Internally, Nav leads the business and technology delivery for TCS’s clients. His offshoring and international experience assists in building diverse global delivery teams. Externally, Nav supports the capital markets community via mentoring of risk professionals, thought leadership at conferences and his contribution as a member of the PRMIA UK Steering Committee. He is a regular speaker and chair at capital markets and risk management forums, as well as a frequent commentator and author to the press on financial market regulations.

 


 
Panelist: 
Stephen Weston is a Partner within Deloitte’s Risk Advisory Practice, specializing in financial modelling, numerical computation, technology and risk management. Stephen has extensive experience at top-tier investment banks and exchanges, as well as in high-frequency and proprietary trading. He also has broad industry-level experience with regulators from representing top tier investment banks on global risk committees. 

Immediately prior to joining Deloitte Stephen worked at Intel where he was responsible for developing libraries of mathematical and statistical models for high frequency trading and high-performance computing.

Stephen has a Ph.D. in Financial Mathematics from the University of London, a Master of Arts degree in Mathematical Economics from the University of Kent, and is a visiting professor at Imperial College London for computational mathematics.

: Drone Chowdry is  the Managing Director & Head of Business Advisory Global Markets, FAB-UAE. He is a senior executive having served on company boards in Australia, UK and USA. His career has spanned areas of business development, strategy, COO role within financial markets division, P&L responsibility, corporate governance and risk management including market, compliance and operations risk. These roles spanned several international financial centers. 

Drone is passionate about mentoring work colleagues and is qualified in NSW as a workplace coach and mentor. He was a volunteer lecturer representing CBA at the Securities Institute of Australia on capital markets subjects and a member of the national taskforce that reviewed and approved course content for a period of 5 years. 

Drone has a BA in History from Delhi University, a Master of Arts in History and International Relations from Delhi University and an MBA (Finance) from the City University of London UK, CASS Business School.

: Malcolm Warne is Head of Product for the Nasdaq Risk Platform.  Malcolm has extensive experience in developing and delivering real-time Risk Management products to Sell-side and Central Counterparty institutions. The Nasdaq Risk Platform leverages cloud technology plus exchange and market data connectivity to accelerate Customer Time to Value, which has consistently been a challenge for Risk Management products.

Prior to joining Nasdaq, Malcolm founded Kasm Solutions, which focused on the specific and growing risk management needs of Central Counterparties after the 2008 financial crisis.

: Alok Kumar Agarwal is currently the head of US Electronic Product at Barclays with focus on Equities and Options. Alok has spent 14 years in varied roles within electronic trading  across UK and US. In his current role, Alok also works closely with the risk teams to deliver a better risk control framework for clients trading electronically.

Alok has PGDM (MBA equivalent) degree from IIM Ahmedabad and is also a CFA charterholder.
