About This Webinar

Natural gas is a highly seasonal commodity, which is very prone to high prices and high volatility in the winter months as cold snaps in the northern hemisphere can cause significant upturns in demand.  This winter is set to be even more volatile than normal, given the ongoing geopolitical events in eastern Europe.  Implied volatility for Henry Hub natural gas futures – the benchmark for most of the world’s natural gas trading – remains high compared with historical levels.

Beyond the impacts on price, market participants are also reviewing the impact of recent events on fundamental drivers, such as the supply-demand balance, the patterns of regional trade, the importance of LNG relative to pipeline gas, the renaissance of coal-fired power, and much more.  Truly, we are in a transformational moment for the natural gas markets.
