About This Webinar

This webinar will include:

  • An overview on IT container
  • Blockchain technology
  • Real live applications for managing XVA risk

XVA is a sophisticated area in risk management. From CVA (Credit Value Adjustments) to DVA, KVA, and FVA, the math did its job. From a regulatory view, bilateral margining and clearing are ready. This webinar goes beyond math and brings a focus on data management and implementation in productive environments. A technical innovation, which is not supposed to support high-speed calculation will be introduced: a blockchain can improve reconciliation processes in settlement- and collateral management. In addition, an outlook on ‘Smart Derivative Contracts’ (SDC) is given. SDC includes a fully deterministic termination to remove many of the inefficiencies in collateralized OTC transactions. The automatic termination procedure embedded in the smart contracts replaces the counterparty default by an option right of the counterparty and cures issues in XVA.
