How long has PRMIA been around, and how was it created?
PRMIA was established in 2002 by a volunteer group of thirty risk industry professionals with the vision of building an independent global association to serve the international financial risk community. Their mission was to create an association that would be solidly anchored in ethical guidelines, transparency, testing standards, courses and publications that would be better than anything offered by others in the risk profession and always committed to non-profit ideals of service. This remains the PRMIA mission today.

How is PRMIA managed?
PRMIA is led by a Board of Directors (elected by members) and multiple global committees that guide the organization's direction. A staff of about 17 people fulfill the organization's support needs.

In what countries does PRMIA have chapters?
PRMIA has more than 45 chapters  in major cities around the world.

What do PRMIA chapters do?
Local chapters are at the core of how PRMIA serves its members. PRMIA is represented globally by over 45 chapters in major cities around the world. These chapters are led by Regional Directors, which are appointed by the PRMIA Board. PRMIA chapters offer thought leadership events, networking opportunities, joint events with other local organizations, exam study groups, and even student events.

No. PRMIA is dedicated to keeping your contact information private. Member contact details are not shared with any outside entities, or with other PRMIA members, without consent.
