The PRMIA Board and its Committees adhere to the bylaws approved by membership. Please review for more detail on the election process.
All Board members, without exception, should have an enthusiasm for
PRMIA as part of their Duty of Loyalty, Duty of Obedience, and Duty of
Care. Regarding the Duty of Loyalty, potential conflicts of interest
should be evaluated and readily disclosed during nomination processes
and during Board service. See Board Terms of Reference for more detail.
The Board seeks those who have had volunteer experience, and/or who have served a previous volunteer role with PRMIA.
The Board seeks to match the diversity of thought, region, and gender of the membership it represents.
The Board should collectively have world class knowledge and
experience. This includes coverage of the 'traditional' risks, such
as market, credit, operational, and liquidity risk; and other areas
such as conduct/compliance, technology, and geopolitical/country risks.
Collective experience should cover broad industries or lines of
business, including commercial banking, Investment banking, fund
management/pensions, insurance, energy and corporate.
Board members should align to key regions and cities where PRMIA has
substantial numbers of members, or is growing membership, while
balancing representation across the broader membership base.
A key role of Board members is to make connections and open doors to
other practitioner members, senior leadership, and key decision makers
in order to advance the PRMIA mission. This year, we are seeking individuals who can support PRMIA efforts by helping to grow membership, sponsorship, and learning and development opportunities.
The Board composition is desired to be comprised of a significant number of PRMTM holders.
Nomination submissions will include nominee biographies and a vision statement. Nominees may prepare vision statements by reviewing our activities and financials and speaking with peers on the key issues facing our profession and how PRMIA serves our Community.
