Matthew Goodwin, Professor of Political Science / Senior Visiting Fellow

Matthew is an academic, writer and speaker known for his work on British and European politics. He is Professor of Politics at Rutherford College, University of Kent, and Senior Fellow at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. He lives in London. Matthew is a political scientist by training. He holds a BA Hons (first-class), M.A. and PhD and completed a prestigious post-doctoral fellowship with the Economic and Social Research Council. 

Matthew has published four books, including the 2015 Political Book of the Year, and dozens of research articles and policy reports. After roles in a self-funded research institute and a government department he has engaged with over 200 non-academic organizations, ranging from the Central Intelligence Agency to the UK Home Office and numerous financial institutions. He leads public policy masterclasses, gives keynote talks and chairs discussions. 

Matthew's contribution to research has been recognised by several bodies. In 2014 he was awarded the Richard Rose Prize, given annually to one scholar. Torbjörn Jacobsson, CRO

Torbjörn Jacobsson, M.Sc, is the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Avida Finans and before that CFO/CIO/CRO at Marginalen Bank, both located in Stockholm, Sweden. He has over 20 years of experience in building and developing small Swedish financial institutions regarding risk, finance and IT. He has also been a very active member in several committees within the Swedish Bankers´ Association with focus on consultation paper reviews. This have given him a broad knowledge about the banking industry, it´s regulations and how an efficient risk management can give a competitive advantage and improved customer experience. Torbjörn have an Executive MBA from Stockholm Business School and a research cooperation with School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
