PRMIA Appoints Kraig Conrad, CAE, as Executive Director


 Washington, D.C., October 22, 2015 – The Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) has appointed Kraig Conrad, CAE, as its Executive Director.  The PRMIA Board of Directors chose Conrad to lead its global network of more than 50,000 risk professionals and to craft an enhanced vision for the group that includes a long-range strategic plan, new advocacy, certification and training efforts, promoting the PRMIA brand, and enhancing membership benefits.

Conrad has held high-level posts in several prominent financial associations in the Washington, D.C. area and acted as a consultant in the association arena.  From 2008 to 2015, he served the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), including for the past year as Acting Co-Chief Executive Officer. He achieved operational efficiencies and increased global participation as Vice President of both Programs and Development and Professional Development at NIRI. Prior to that, Conrad worked in a consulting capacity at the Corporate Executive Board in Virginia.

From 2000 to 2007 at the Association for Financial Professionals in Bethesda, Maryland, he held the positions of Director of Strategic Alliances and Director of Corporate Finance and Risk Management, consecutively. Conrad holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Southern California and an M. B. A. from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He also is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
