  John Deverell

John leads www.thepreparedmind.net, advising clients on leadership, risk, and crisis preparedness. Before that he spent two years on the Executive Leadership Team of Invensys plc where he was responsible for global security and resolution of all potential crises – and then two years with M: Communications, a financial PR firm in the City, dealing with reputational aspects of crisis leadership. During his earlier career in the Forces, HM The Queen appointed him OBE and later CBE for leadership in unusually challenging situations. He has been interviewed on TV and radio on crisis, risk and strategy.

 
     
  Michael Ferndale

Michael, Board Advisor, ECC Consulting, is the author of The Icarus Syndrome, focusing on how human behaviour feeds systemic risk. He has a wealth of experience in helping top teams with leadership, assessment, and executive search, working extensively across the private, government, sport, not-for-profit and wider public sectors. He established the Board Practice at Harvey Nash and chaired their Group Advisory Board.
