Srinivasa Rao Sureddi, Dy Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer, State Bank of India, is one of the four highly qualified professionals recently elected to PRMIA Board.
Mr Rao has 30+ years of rich Banking experience having led crucial functions like Credit, Risk Management and Subsidiaries in SBI. He has been instrumental in developing a well-defined risk-management framework and robust culture through a series of risk-awareness training/ programs across State bank of India. He successfully drove the initiative ISO-9001-2015 Certification and also secured the coveted Golden Peacock Award for best practices in Risk Management.
With a Master of Science (Chemistry), he has several professional Certifications including Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), Professional Risk Manager (PRM) from PRMIA and Certificate in Risk and Financial Services from CISI London. He is also a member of the Board of IACPM, New York representing State Bank of India.
A well-respected domain expert in Risk Management, Mr Rao takes keen interest in capacity building and implementing best standards and practices in risk management.
Shri Narendra Patra, FRM, Senior Vice President (Risk), Axis Bank
Narendra Patra, Senior Vice-President (Risk) at Axis Bank, has over 30 years of rich experience in Banking, Treasury, Credit and Risk Management having worked in diversified public, private and foreign banks across geographies.
Mr Patra is currently a part of Axis Bank’s Central Emergency Response Team to manage the challenges of the Covid-19 Pandemic. He oversees Operational Risk, BCP, Product Approval, Model Risk Governance, Risk Analytics and Risk Data Management. Prior to joining Axis Bank, he served SBI for two decades in the areas of Treasury, Credit and Branch Management.
Mr Patra is a Post-Graduate in Chemistry (Gold Medalist) from Utkal University. He is also Certified Financial Risk manager.

Sriram Kannan is a senior finance, risk & consulting leader with over 20+ years of extensive experience in a suite of areas – Fin/Risk-Tech, Fin- transformation, Governance, Risk & Compliance, BI and Analytics.

His earlier assignments include Fund Manager at Future Generali India Life Insurance, Trader in Forex and Equity at State Bank of India Global Markets.

He drives capacity building initiatives through training and research in the vital areas of Credit, International Banking, Risk & Compliance. Besides State Bank of India, SBICRM provides specialized training solutions to a host of Banks in India and abroad.
Mr Tyagi has 30+ years of rich experience in all facets of banking, encompassing agricultural, commercial and international banking. As Senior Vice President (Credit) at SBI’s Bahrain Office from 2010 to 2014, he made special contributions towards credit delivery and monitoring across geographies, besides, sanction and monitoring of ECB Loans to large Indian corporate customer of State Bank of India.

Dr Nirakar Pradhan is the India CEO of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA). Recognized for his performance track record in Treasury, Investment and Enterprise Risk Management, Nirakar led high performing teams in two global institutions State Bank of India and Generali Group. His previous assignments include Head of Investment Control, Generali Investments (Paris), Chief Investment Officer, Future Generali India Life Insurance, Head of Investments (SBI, Frankfurt), Head of Treasury (SBI Gilts, now DFHI,).
