Examining Risk Culture - A PRMIA Institute and RIM event

The panel will focus on Risk Culture, how this has developed over the last few decades and how to encourage a good Risk Culture in an organisation. This will lead to the next virtual panel later in July which will start to look at Risk Culture in Emergent Nations. The final virtual panel in this series will be in September and will focus on PRMIA's Risk Management Initiative in Microfinance (RIM).

  Thomas Wilson is the President and CEO of Allianz Ayudhya Assurance pcl. He also serves as the Country Manager for Allianz Thailand. Prior to his appointment in Thailand, Mr. Wilson was a leader of the global functional risk network at Allianz SE and was responsible for navigating through multiple financial crises. He will bring his extended experience during his years serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Swiss Re New Markets, the Chief Risk Officer at ING Insurance, the Managing Director, Global Head Finance & Risk Practice at Oliver Wyman & Company and the Principal, Global Head Risk Management Practice at McKinsey & Company.
 
       
  Muel Kaptein has been active as an organizational consultant and auditor in the field of business ethics, integrity and compliance since 1991. He co-founded KPMG Integrity in 1996 and KPMG Sustainability in 1999. In his current position as a partner at KPMG, he works together with a multidisciplinary team of advisors and auditors in the field of soft controls, culture and integrity. Since 1991 he has also worked at RSM Erasmus University, where he teaches in the field of leadership, sustainability and governance.
 
       
  Ken Radigan is the CEO of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA). Ken has held high-level posts in prominent multinational insurance corporations, and acted as a risk management consultant in the financial industry. From 1988 to 2014 he held a variety of positions at AIG, ultimately serving as CRO of the Casualty and Global Risk Solutions divisions.  Ken holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Dayton, as well as numerous professional designations, including:  Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI).  
       
  The moderator will be Justin C McCarthy - Chair of the board of the PRMIA Institute. The PRMIA Institute is a supporting organization of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association, serves the global risk management community with leading thought, peer-vetted research, and stewardship of the risk management profession. He has worked in governance, risk management and compliance roles in many firms, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, PricewaterhouseCoopers and with the Irish Financial Regulator. He served as the global chair of PRMIA for several years.
