PRMIA Chennai presents Start-ups Fueling Indian Growth Engine - Risk Management for Aspiring Unicorns.
India is progressing towards becoming a “start-up” hub. This is proving to be a growth driver for the country. With this trend in mind, we are proud to have this virtual event as “Start-ups’ Fueling India Growth Engine, Risk Management for Aspiring Unicorns.” This industry is gaining increasing focus. The Government of India and other states are clearly providing a lot of benefits to encourage these start-ups. Other institutes like IIT/IIM are also now becoming incubating centres for these start-ups. With the pandemic hitting us globally and the dependency on technology growing, the variety of industries where start-ups are growing is multi-fold. The rising trend of start-ups and blooming numbers come with inherent risks.
The way risk management will be looked at is definitely changing as new type of risks i.e., privacy, secrecy, data, cyber security, etc are becoming more prominent in these start-ups. In addition, the risks on getting into a type of industry itself brings new risks. In this session through our successful entrepreneurs who would be future unicorns, we would like to hear and learn from them about various risks that they have experienced and also, they foresee in future.
