Artificial Intelligence: Is it mostly hype? Is “alternative data” any better?

Machine Learning has been the hottest topic of conversation in credit modelling circles recently. Almost every lender has performed POCs or studied it for their portfolio. Yet adoption rates for credit risk modelling remain very low. Issues such as regulatory approval, explainability and limited infrastructure continue to pose challenges. On the other hand, as organizations get access to an ever-increasing variety of data on their customers, their usage in lending and risk management has varied across geographies.

How can financial institutions make better decisions using these emerging tools? How do they navigate the practical challenges that prevent them from using these technologies? Join us as we explore successful use cases and go beyond the hype on Machine Learning and the use of non-traditional data for credit risk modelling.

Building on the most recent innovations in industry practices, join us for presentation led by Naeem Siddiqi. The session is designed to provide you with an opportunity to learn from a world-renowned subject matter specialist.

During this session, our speakers will provide you with answers to issues such as:
The promise and hype of Machine Learning
Successful use cases in Canada, and globally
The top challenges in using ML for credit risk modeling and how to overcome them
Types of alternative data, how to separate the good from the bad
How to use alternative data in credit risk modelling
