Our speakers will provide an overview of the Basel 4 framework, including a discussion of the most impacted portfolios, such as mortgages and commercial lending. They will also discuss the current state of play in Brussels, with ongoing negotiations regarding the CRR3/CRD6 package, and highlight the areas of contention. They will conclude with an open audience discussion on the strategic impact of these reforms on the European banking sector.

Sînziana Kroon is the Head of the Basel Centre at ABN Amro, where she is responsible for prudential regulation and policy. Previously, she was a banking supervisor at the DNB, where she was responsible for SREP Coordination, Basel 3 implementation, Capital, Liquidity, ALM and Trading Risks within the JST of a Significant Institution.
Sînziana has a Master’s degree in Finance and Investments from Erasmus University and is currently studying for a Ph.D. at Maastricht University.

Onno Steins is senior policy advisor on prudential regulation at the Dutch Banking Association, responsible for supporting and influencing the decision-making process on the implementation of Basel 4 in the EU. Onno has extensive experience in the financial industry as well as in the field of industry advocacy. Having worked for both small domestic and large internationally active banks, such as Van Lanschot Kempen and ABN AMRO, Onno has all round experience with many facets of the risk management profession.
Onno has a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Marleen Cobben is a credit risk modeller at Rabobank, where she specialises in Basel 4 credit requirements and implementation. Before joining Rabobank, she conducted research into ecology and climate change. Marleen has a Ph.D. from Wageningen University & Research. |
