7:00 - 7:45pm    Internal Audit’s New Normal - Applying Data Analytics in Audit: While traditional Internal Audit functions have successfully provided independent assessment of internal controls for decades, data analytics (especially machine learning) has increasingly been applied in internal audit processes to leverage the advanced technology to identify significant trends and exceptions in large amounts of data. In this way, proactive actions can be taken.

7:45 - 8:30pm    China FinTech: Latest Development & Implications to Risk Management: China is ranked the highest in terms of consumer FinTech adoption in the latest EY’s FinTech Adoption Index 2017 covering 20 countries. Development including P2P (peer-to-peer) lending and alternative credit scoring (data derived from mobile wallets, social media and eCommerce) has shaped the ways how service is delivered and how risk is measured. The session will explain the FinTech adoption in China relative to other countries, FinTech innovation unique to China and implications to risk assessment.
