This workshop will focus on helping you get the most out of being mentored, developing your mentoring skills in order to provide effective support for other individuals, and build a personal stakeholder map to identify potential sponsorship opportunities. 

The workshop will address:
What does an effective mentor role look like and how do I find the right mentor?

• Define and explore the role of a mentor, looking at how it differs from that of a coach
• Develop the tools you need to identify potential mentors for you

What are the benefits of mentoring?

• Explore the benefits associated with mentoring

What are the challenges for a mentor and mentee?

• Describe how mentoring relationships work in practice and understand associated challenges with being a mentor or a mentee

How do I become a more effective mentor and mentee?

• Develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours to be a more effective mentor and mentee, looking at the stages of mentoring relationships and top tips for working together

How does mentoring lead to sponsorship?

• Look at how mentoring can lead to sponsorship and the importance of building strong advocacy in business today
