Robert Lavigne

Robert Lavigne joined OMERS Capital Markets on September 14th, 2015 in the role of Managing Director, Economic Research. Prior to joining OCM, he worked at the Bank of Canada on a wide variety of issues related to global macroeconomics and policies. In particular, he advised Canadian policymakers on Canadian positions at the G20 and IMF. In his most recent role as Division Head of the Advanced Economies Division, Mr. Lavigne focused on the economic outlooks for Europe and Japan. He has policy and research experience on both advanced and emerging economy themes. Mr. Lavigne is an active member of the OCM leadership team and is playing a key role in advising the investment team. He also provides economic and capital market analysis to OCM and OMERS. Mr. Lavigne holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from the University of Montreal and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Aix-Marseille II.
