About This Webinar

Join us, as we explore new ways in measuring risk within the financial technology sector.  In less than an hour, our experts will look at the traditional risk management framework, data sources and the various approaches that can be taken, as it relates to banks within the FinTech sector.  This webinar promises to identify some of the innovative practices that can be accomplished in the traditional space; as well as what current FinTech players can learn from the traditional sector.

About Our Experts

Previous has he been CFO/CIO/CRO at Marginalen Bank. He has over 20 years of experience in building and developing small Swedish/Nordic financial institutions regarding risk, finance and IT. He has also been a very active member in several committees within the Swedish Bankers´ Association with a focus on consultation paper reviews. This has given him a broad knowledge about the banking industry, its regulations and how an efficient risk management can give a competitive advantage and improved customer experience. Torbjörn has an Executive MBA from Stockholm Business School. He performs a yearly survey program within the Nordic banking industry on the effects of increased regulation.   Marc Barrachin, CFA, is Head of Product Research and Innovation for the Risk Services group at S&P Global Market Intelligence. Marc searches and analyzes future trends and their potential impact on the group’s product offering, and identifies areas of opportunities to build new capabilities.. He currently leads projects at the junction of risk, fintech, and regulations. These include cyber risk and the development of a 360 degree view of a company’s risk, which encompasses private companies and companies in China. This requires partnering with stakeholders across S&P Market Intelligence segments (e.g., commercial banks, insurance companies, and corporations) and developing new models that leverage a wide array of alternative data and modeling techniques, such as machine learning.

Previously, Marc was Managing Director at IHS Markit. He managed the index business from product to commercial policy, and directed the growth of the credit business through the crisis and subsequent market restructuring and regulatory evolution.
