Microfinance Risk Management Institution Assessment Training for Internal Staff is an in-depth, three-day training course designed for microfinance executive senior management, risk managers, internal auditors, and staff. Through interactive lectures, facilitated discussions, and a case study, participants learn to conduct their own gap analysis and create a strategic risk management development plan using the Graduation Model and Institution Assessment framework with step-by-step process.

Becoming a RIM trained assessor equips microfinance staff with the necessary skills to integrate the development of their risk management systems into their larger organizational strategy. This proven methodology helps build competencies to apply cost-effective methodology, based on industry best practices. In essence, this course eliminates the need to create a comprehensive risk management assessment methodology that aligns with your strategic plan.

Learning Objectives
- Learn the components of RIM’s Graduation Model framework and its value proposition compared to traditional, single-bottom-line risk management frameworks

Prerequisites
This training will be most useful for participants in whose institution risk management is a current priority. To ensure robust discussions and for the training to be most effective, participants are required to have: 

• Currently working in the microfinance industry and in an MFI.
• Be fluent in comprehensive risk management in financial inclusion
• Have basic skills in MS Excel
• Personal laptop with Excel required for use during the course (macro-enabled)
• This course and materials will be presented in Arabic

ADIL SADOQ
Mr. Adil Sadoq is a seasoned microfinance practitioner who rose through the ranks of Zakoura, a Microfinance Institution (MFI) in Morocco, which tops the MIX Global 100 list. Since 2002, he has been sharing his expertise as a consultant with a range of microfinance institutions, donors and microfinance network organizations throughout Africa and the Middle East. 

Adil Sadoq has significant experience as team leader designing and launching microfinance programs, including developing a branch network, designing, pilot-testing and rolling out new products, man resource strategy development and performance indicator monitoring. Mr Sadoq is a solid trainer who has been providing training in numerous microfinance training modules and is certified in social management and social audit for microfinance institutions. Adil Sadoq has also led and participated in several evaluations of projects and organizations.
   
Sa-Eun Park
, principal consultant and coach at MagpieVenture LLC, brings over a decade of experience in financial services working with commercial banks in the United States and microfinance and informal groups in various developing countries. As a financial inclusion consultant, she currently provides professional training, evaluation, consulting and coaching services globally to build the internal capacity of microfinance institutions. She specializes in risk management and risk-based product development. Her recent assignments in microfinance risk management have taken her to the Middle East , sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia to develop risk management frameworks, policies, and strategies in the regions. Previously, she managed complex economic development projects in Inclusive Financial Services at MEDA, where she designed and managed capacity-building projects and consultancies to better reach women, youth, rural, and under-banked populations across thirteen countries.

Sa-Eun has a master’s degree in development management with a concentration on microfinance and financial management from American University in Washington, DC, and an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of California–Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. She speaks fluent Korean and English, with a working proficiency in French and basic Arabic.
