With only 15 months remaining until LIBOR cessation, PRMIA New York, London and Canada are hosting an event to discuss key issues. Hear insight and best practices from leaders who are involved in preparing companies for changes in rates which affects US $370 trillion worth of financial contracts. Experts will discuss how the LIBOR transition will change how almost all companies operate, including Treasury impacts to Cost of Funds & FTP, managing the basis when funding & hedging, and the liquidity challenges from LIBOR to risk-free rates. Speakers will also provide insight on the ARRC recommended transition timelines for non-issuance of loans in LIBOR by June 2021 and look at the data framework impact of this profound event.

     Meredith Coffey, Executive V.P. Research and Public Policy, LSTA

Meredith Coffey is Executive Vice President of the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA).  In this position as a member of the senior leadership team, she runs the Research Department and co-heads the LSTA’s public policy initiatives, which help facilitate continued availability of credit and the efficiency of the loan market. In addition, Ms. Coffey heads efforts to analyze current and anticipated loan market developments, helping the LSTA build strategy and improve market efficiency, and providing insight through weekly newsletters, periodic conferences, webcasts and media commentary. 

Ms. Coffey is on the Alternative Reference Rates Committee (ARRC), which is working to transition from LIBOR to a successor rate; she co-chairs the ARRC’s Business Loans Working Group and the Loans Operations Sub-Group.  She and the analyst team also engage market participants, press and regulators on issues and developments in the global loan market.  Ms. Coffey has published analysis on the syndicated loan market in numerous books and periodicals, presents frequently, and has testified several times before Congress on issues pertaining to the loan and CLO markets. 

Prior to joining the LSTA, Ms. Coffey was Senior Vice President and Director of Analysis focusing on the loan and adjacent markets for Thomson Reuters LPC, working in and running loan research for 15 years. Ms. Coffey has a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College and a graduate degree in Economics from New York University.
 
 
       
  Alok Daga, Chief Information Officer - Commercial & Corporate Banking, BMO Financial Group

Alok joined BMO in 2002 as Delivery Lead for Corporate Finance. In 2005, he was promoted to Manager- Corporate Loans. The mandate progressively increased to include ECM (2008) and Commercial Lending (2011). Between 2011-2016, Alok lead the integration of Commercial Lending with Cap Markets. Today, the integrated suite originates $270B in Authorizations, $180B in assets and ~35% of BMO's profits. In 2017, Alok lead the Retail Risk Transformation. . While doing these, he successfully evolved and rationalized (~5MM in annual savings) the underlying technology architecture to a set of open global platforms. Prior to BMO, he was instrumental in replacing Merrill's Fixed Income platform for Europe. This was primarily around Murex, Summit and Gloss. He started his career with Citibank. Alok's trusted partnerships with senior business, risk and operations stakeholders allow him to drive alignment between various groups and enable the business to achieve priorities. 
 
       
  Vaibhav Sharma, Head of Financial Services Solutions and Consulting, IRIS Software, INC

Vaibhav Sharma is the current Head of Financial Services Solutions and Consulting with IRIS Software, INC.Vaibhav's areas of  specialties include:  Enterprise Architect Solution Delivery with Domain knowledge of Banking and Capital Markets. Vaibhav assists clients to successfully implement large transformation initiatives by leading Solution design and Project execution. He is a risk management champion with expertise in Operational and Enterprise Risk Management framework.   
 
 
 
 Tom Wipf, Vice Chairman Institutional Securities, Morgan Stanley

Tom is responsible for Morgan Stanley’s transition efforts to alternative reference rates to replace LIBOR through the firm’s Global LIBOR Transition Steering Committee. This group, spanning ISG, Wealth Management and Investment Management, will ensure that
all businesses and infrastructure organizations have a consistent set of Firm-level guidelines, their own transition plans and accountability for transition readiness before year-end 2021. Tom most recently led the firm’s Global Business Continuity Management Organization. He is a member of the firm’s Securities Operating Committee, Risk Management Committee and Asset/ Liability Management Committee.
Prior to being named Vice Chairman, Tom was the Global Head of the Bank Resource Management Division where he was responsible for the firm's secured funding, securities lending, global hedging and collateral management activities. In April 2019, Tom was named Chair of the Alternative Reference Rates Committee (ARRC) by the Federal Reserve Board. The ARRC is a group of private-market
participants convened to help ensure a successful transition from USD LIBOR to a more robust reference rate. Tom was appointed to the ARRC in 2014.

Tom was appointed Chair of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Market
Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC) Interest Rate Benchmark Reform Subcommittee in
October, 2018.

Tom served as Chair of the Treasury Market Practices Group (TMPG) from November
2007 to May 2019.

Tom currently serves on the board of directors of International Swaps and Derivatives
Association, Inc. (ISDA).

Tom previously served on the Financial Research Advisory Committee to the US
Treasury Office of Financial Research from 2012 to 2017.
