This is our second panel on risk culture. With a panel from around the world, we will look at if there is any difference between risk culture in different regions and if the local culture has any impact on this. The final virtual panel in this series will be in September and will focus on PRMIA's Risk Management Initiative in Microfinance (RIM).

  Dan North, Chief Economist Euler Hermes North America
Dan North has been with Euler Hermes North America since 1996, using macroeconomic and quantitative analyses to help manage Euler’s risk portfolio of more than $150 billion in annual U.S. trade transactions. 
As an economist he has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business News, France 24, and Bloomberg Radio and Television. He has been quoted by Barron’s, Business Week, Paris Le Monde, Tokyo Nikkei, the BBC, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.   After having predicted the 2008/2009 recession and its implications accurately, he was ranked 4th on Bloomberg’s list of the 65 top economic forecasters in 2010.
Mr. North holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. 
 
       
    Riaz Ahmed is head of operational risk at the World Bank with extensive experience of operational and enterprise risk and has successfully implemented  large scale corporate solutions and advised clients on risk compliance and internal control issues.
 
       
  Sankarshan Basu is a Professor in the Finance and Accounting Area at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. An academic for over 20 years, apart from IIM Bangalore, he has taught at several universities in Netherlands, Sweden, France, Vietnam, and Thailand. Prior to IIMB, he also worked with ICICI Ltd. – at that time the largest DFI in India. Professor Basu is a much sought after consultant in the areas of Risk Management and Quantitative Finance in the banking and financial market domain. Sankarshan serves as a Director, PRMIA; Secretary, Indian Finance Association as well as on international selection panel for Fellows for the German Chancellor Fellow. He has also been a past president of the Asia Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA). Sankarshan is a graduate in Statistics from Presidency College, India, a masters in Statistics from the IIT – Kanpur, India and a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.
 
       
    Ananthakrishnan P R is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary from India and a Certified GRC Auditor by OCEG with corporate and consultancy experience in Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Based Audit. He is working as a Consultant- Policy & Governance at SCB and is the Chair of Risk Culture Working Group at Risk Management Initiative in Microfinance (RIM).   
       
  Ken Radigan is the CEO of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA). Ken has held high-level posts in prominent multinational insurance corporations, and acted as a risk management consultant in the financial industry. From 1988 to 2014 he held a variety of positions at AIG, ultimately serving as CRO of the Casualty and Global Risk Solutions divisions.  Ken holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Dayton, as well as numerous professional designations, including:  Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI).  
       
  The moderator will be Justin C McCarthy - Chair of the board of the PRMIA Institute. The PRMIA Institute is a supporting organization of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association, serves the global risk management community with leading thought, peer-vetted research, and stewardship of the risk management profession. He has worked in governance, risk management and compliance roles in many firms, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, PricewaterhouseCoopers and with the Irish Financial Regulator. He served as the global chair of PRMIA for several years.
