Mr. Curry will discuss cryptocurrencies and the role of bank regulators from both a prudential and financial stability standpoint.  He will describe how U.S. bank regulators are applying existing  bank chartering, permissible custody powers and financial stability concepts to cryptocurrencies.  Mr. Curry also will discuss the evolving policies of the Financial Stability Oversight Council and the Presidents Working Group towards cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins.

Mr. Horne will discuss how cryptocurrencies are now finding their place inside traditional investment processes and how investors should look at cryptocurrencies in investment portfolios as having the same oversight as normal currencies.  Peter will also discuss the emergence of decentralised finance - "DeFi" - and how the risks of these blockchain assets are quite different to those of traditional cryptocurrencies.
