|About Our Expert
Duncan has forty years of work experience (1984 to 2024) with half in banking and half in management consultancy. His banking experience is with three different firms: BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and HSBC, leading global non-financial risk teams across all major trading hubs, working mainly within the risk management departments as line manager and programme director on large scale transformation projects. His risk management consulting experience was gained with the following firms: Deloitte, Ernst and Young, where he was a partner in charge of Financial Risk services and IBM Consulting. He qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) in the UK with Touche Ross and qualified as a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (MCT).
Latterly, he has specialised in climate risk management advising clients on TCFD and ESG data reporting, climate scenario analysis and climate risk management. He has also made a commercial training film on climate change and trained numerous people on climate change from 'A' level/BAC students in Bordeaux, France through to Board members in banks in Europe. He has a Law degree from the University of Hull (LLB Hons). He also holds a certificate of Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR GARP) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals which he gained in 2021. He is a certified facilitator for climate fresk, digital collage and biodiversity collage.
